Advanced training on “Water Productivity assessment using Remote Sensing and GIS” facilitated by Dr. Sajid Pareeth, Lecturer in Remote Sensing, UNESCO-IHE, Delft, The Netherlands was held on 05th and 6th March 2020 at ACIWRM, Bengaluru.
Remote Sensing based Water Productivity assessment is being applied to command area of Narayanpur Left Bank Canal System (NLBC).
Participants from Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited, Visvesvaraya Jala Nigam Limited, Karnataka State Remote Sensing Application Centre, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad and ATREE, Bengaluru attended the training.
Sri. Rangaram S, Chief Engineer (I/C), KBJNL Operation & Maintenance Zone, Narayanpur and Sri. Subash Chandra, Asst. Executive Engineer, KBJNL IBC Sub Dn.24, Rampur PA, Vijayapur, officers from NLBC command area, participated in the discussions held on 06-03-2020 regarding preliminary outcomes from the study and provided valuable feedback.
