ACIWRM is organising various training programmes and workshops for the capacity building of the engineers of the Water Resources Department under ADB assisted Karnataka Integrated and Sustainable Water Resources Management Improvement Program (KISWRMIP).
MApping System and Services for Canal Operation TEchniques (MASSCOTE) is a step-wise procedure for auditing performance of irrigation management, analyzing and evaluating the different elements of an irrigation system in order to develop a modernization plan. The modernization plan consists of physical, institutional, and managerial innovations to improve water delivery services to all users and cost effectiveness of operation and management. MASSCOTE is founded on a rigorous on-site approach of the physical water infrastructure (canals and networks) and introduces Service Oriented Management (SOM) as a normal practice.
MASSCOTE workshop for Malaprabha Irrigation Project will be conducted from 27th November to 8th December-2018 at Dharwad. This workshop will be headed by an International MASSCOTE Expert assisted by trained resource persons of state’s Water Resources Department. Attending this workshop will enhance the skills of the engineers and in turn will be helpful for modernization projects. It is proposed to impart training to about 50 engineers (mostly from KNNL) in the workshop.
The interested engineers working in Water Resources Department, Govt of Karnataka under various Nigams, WRDO, CADA, KERS, WALMI, and Associate/ Assistant Professors, Professors of agricultural/ horticulture universities in Karnataka can register for the workshop duly taking consent from their head of organization.
The accommodation and food facilities will be arranged at workshop venue by ACIWRM. The participants have to make their own arrangements for to and fro journey from location of work to workshop venue.
